We started with a signs of Autumn hunt and then selected some beautiful natural resources to create our art. We looked at land artists who use natural resources as inspiration like Andy Goldsworthy. You can have a go at making some natural art next time you visit the park, just remember to wash your hands afterwards.
We had a great time exploring mud this week. Some of us created a mud kitchen and made some delicious muddy meals! Some of us invented our own mud paint, we had to use trial and error to make the perfect consistency. We got very messy but the mud washed off and the memories will stay with us.
We learnt how to use ropes safely and how to tie some useful knots. We made a timber hitch and a clove hitch. We worked together as a team.
Our first session we read 'Our Class is a Family' and discussed how we might feel in the Forest. We also created a Forest Charter which helped us to think about how we need to help each other to feel safe, respected and able to learn. We discussed how to use the Forest area safely. We had lots of fun exploring and spotting bugs.
