• Started as a diplomat, is now an ambassador.

Every day in the embassy is different, from dealing with people who have lost their passports to discussing with the government if a rocket can go over the country. She loves Iceland and especially the chance to swim in hot pools in the cold. Dr. Mathews wrote two books which she will send to us!

"We met Dr Mathews. She told us advice about life and all about her job. She taught us that you don't have to study a particular path to be in her role. She said that we should find something that we really enjoy but to also challenge ourselves."

Our recent trip to the Tate Modern significantly enriched this learning experience. Students engaged deeply with the idea of art as a medium for greater meaning and expression.

Year 4 have been working on creating amazing pieces of artwork inspired by the work of Lorna Simpson. They have experimented with using pastels to draw patterns that represent emotions, thinking about how colour can also be used to portray different emotions. They then practised using watercolours to create a gradient watercolour wash for their background. Well done Year 4 for creating some beautifully creative pieces!
