Coronavirus update 18/03/2020

Coronavirus 18 March update 3.00pm:

Today’s advice from Gov.UK and NHS- same as yesterday:

. If you have symptoms of a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest and back

. Have a new, continuous cough- this means you’ve started coughing repeatedly

Keep everyone at home for 14 days starting from the day when the first person in the house became ill. This is because it is likely people living within a household will infect each other or be infected already. Staying at home for 14 days will greatly reduce the spread of infection to others in the community.

Schools are closing on Friday in Scotland and Wales. We have received no instruction about England yet.  Some staff have self-isolated at home but we have enough to keep the school open at the moment. I am reviewing the situation day by day.   I completely respect that some of you prefer to keep your children at home.

In the event of closure I will do my best to keep the school partially open for children of key workers using staff available. I will also endeavour to provide lunch for children entitled to free school meals.

As of tomorrow we are not able to offer clubs until further notice. Highbury Roundhouse are doing the best they can to keep their service going.

You should have received notification of work available for children to do at home on-line and can collect paper copies from the school office.

You are welcome to email or ring us if you have any questions at all.

Thank you very much for your co-operation at these times.
