Dear parents and carers,
As you know, we have been instructed to close the school to almost all children as of today. As advised by the government, we will do all we can to stay open for the children of key workers (e.g. NHS staff, police, others in frontline services) and children with individual needs who have no safe alternative care. This is very much a last resort option as we have very few staff in school. It is likely that the local authority will open just a few schools across the borough who will act as a host/ hub school which these children will attend with staff from our school. We do not have details of this as yet.
Your child’s learning is of the utmost importance to us during this period of closure. I am also very mindful too of families and how challenging it can be keeping children happy and busy in these difficult times. We will update the website every week with new ideas and work.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me via the school office if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you very much again for your continued support. We are very grateful for the lovely messages we have received from some of you. We do need to work together during this unprecedented time of change.
I hope that you and your families all keep well and keep safe.
Very best wishes,
Ann Dwulit
