Children going to Reception: Let’s think about the sound ‘t’. I spy with my little eye something beginning with ‘t’. What can you see?

Using your outside time explore other sounds you can make with your bodies? Does stamping your feet sound different outdoors? Does clapping your hands sound different outside? What other sounds can you make outside?
Children going Reception: Look around the home for different objects beginning with the sound ‘t’.

Using body percussion (clapping, stamping, clicking) can you make a musical pattern for some one else to copy? Clap, clap, stamp stamp stamp.
Children going to Reception: Thinking of the sound ‘t’ can you think of objects, toys, food beginning with that sound? Have a look around the home to help you.

Listen to your favourite song. Can you use body percussion to tap along to the rhythm? Can you clap along, stamp along, click along?
For children going to Reception: Thinking about all the objects, toys, food you found (or thought of) beginning with the sound ‘t’ can you draw what you found and try and write the letter ‘t’ next to each picture.

Everyone loves a game of Simon Says! Why not do “Simon says” and then clap, snap… a body beat?
For children going to Reception: Write the letter ‘T’ in your mum’s hand and let her guess which letter have your drawn.
