Week 6 - wk beginning 1.6.20

Activity One

For the next couple of weeks we are going to do lots of work around mini beasts. For our first English session this week have a listen to ‘The Very Busy Spider’ by Eric Carle. Do you know any other stories by him? Try to join in with some of the words.

Activity Two

Using the letters in the word minibeasts, what other words can you make? Make a list of the words you can find – e.g. Bin. It might be easier to write each letter on a post-it note or separate bits of paper.


Activity Three

Can you draw and label a spider? How many legs does it have? What is special about your spider?


Activity Four

Can you make some fact cards about the minibeasts?

Draw a picture of each minibeast and write a profile of it

e.g. It has ________ legs

Its eats _________

It lives in ________


Activity Five

Write an acrostic poem about spiders. Use question words to help you with ideas, What, When, Where, Why, How
