Celtic Harmony Trip
On Tuesday 25th May, to develop our knowledge of Prehistory through a range of themed packed with hands-on activities, we visited Celtic Harmony Camp, and travelled from being Neolithic Hunter Gatherers to Bronze Age Potters and Iron Age Farmers.
Our day started with a demonstration of the evolution from Stone to Iron Age. We looked at the Stone Age flint tools and enjoyed knapping soap arrow heads. Then, we weaved a willow fence and explored the Bronze Age roundhouse. We all enjoyed making our own Bronze Age beaker pot.
The best part of our Prehistory experience was grinding grain on Iron Age quern stones and making bread dough. The last part of our trip was trading.
It was a fantastic day!
