On the riverside we developed an understanding of what the Thames is like today and gained knowledge of river’s geography. By employing the historical enquiry skills used by archaeologists, we discovered how fragments of history can help build up a picture of the past. We also learned how to identify and date artefacts; investigated how artefacts found around the Thames help to build a picture of London’s history.
