We combined English and Philosophy for Children this week. We took it in turn to get into character as a pirate. We use conscience alley to weigh up both sides of an argument. The children were encouraged to voice a point of view, co-operate with each other and persuade to child walking through the alley to make a decision. Examples of questions asked: Should a pirate steal? Should a pirate kill a prisoner for stealing his treasure?
